Frequently asked questions
How do I transfer calls efficiently in UC Operator?
You can transfer calls using multiple methods for maximum efficiency. Drag and drop any call directly onto a contact in your directory for an instant blind transfer, or right-click on a call to access the complete transfer menu with all available options. For attended transfers, first call the recipient by double-clicking their contact, then drag the original call onto the new conversation. Keyboard users can press the Add key (plus sign) or F8 to display transfer options for the selected call.
Can UC Operator handle multiple companies or departments on different phone lines?
Yes. You can redirect multiple phone numbers to a single SIP account, and UC Operator displays which line was called in the "To" field before you answer allowing you to identify the intended company or department instantly. Link specific directories to each phone number so the relevant contacts automatically appear when answering calls to that line.
Custom greetings and handling notes can also be configured for each line, ensuring you deliver the appropriate response for every call. Note that your IP PBX must be configured to pass the called number information to UC Operator.
How does the CRM integration work?
To integrate your CRM with UC Operator, enter your CRM's web URL in Settings > CRM > CRM URL, using '$' as a phone number placeholder. Right-click any call to view CRM records or enable automatic display. Ensure phone formats match exactly between UC Operator and your CRM, including country codes, as differences prevent contact lookup. Find your CRM URL by searching for a contact in the browser version and copying the address bar URL.

What directory sources can UC Operator integrate with?
UC Operator provides flexible directory management with support for multiple sources. Import contacts from CSV or vCard files, load them from LDAP servers, web servers, or Outlook contacts, and update directories on the fly by adding new users directly from incoming calls.
All directories are dockable and customizable, allowing each operator to arrange their workspace for optimal visibility.
